Today I added my bibliography. I'm up to date with my google doc and all I need to do is evaluate myself and complete my attitudes in technology table. I have created a new account in IBVC since I could not recover my password so I will now be able to share my product with other IB students. I was very balanced today since I had to work on my google docs, and work on recovering my iBVC account. I would rate myself a 6 in my attitudes in technology since I was very productive.

Today I was able upload my project to my blog. I had to be balanced today because I had to make sure my project was finished so I could upload it to Slideshare and then upload it to my blog. On a scale of 1-6  I would rate myself a 6 since I was very productive today and I was able to finish all ,y work since I worked i=on my project at home these past few days.

4.18.12 First Reflection on Digital Citizenship

Today I was able to get up to date with my google docs.  I have began working on my product. In order to complete my product by Friday I will have to work efficiently at home this today and tomorrow night. Since I have done everything I needed to on my google docs, I will just worry about creating and reflecting my product. Today I acted like a balanced person of the IB characteristics since I had to work extra hard to finish with the work I was behind with. I would rate myself a 6 since I had a positive attitude, I was engaged with my work, and I maintained a respectful attitude towards my peers, teachers, and materials.

Today I was able to finish my evaluation and creation stages. I just need to finish adding screen shots of my product to my google docs; I was not able to do this today since the website I used to create my project,  Kizoa, was blocked by the school.  Today I was mostly reflective because I had to reflect on all the stages in the design cycle for my evaluation and attitudes in technology stages. I would like to improve in my thinker skills so I could be more detailed while writing. I would rate myself with a 6 in my attitudes in technology since I kept a positive attitude to complete my evaluate and A.I.T. stages.

Today I started working on my evaluate stage. I have finished the creation of my project. I inserted my blog postings into my google document by taking screen shots of them. Today I had to be knowledgeable since I had to learn how to add my blogs to my posts and be able to ask questions for what I didn't understand. I would like to improve on my risk-taking skills so i can ask for more help from my peers and teacher. On a scale of 1-6 my attitudes in technology would be at a 6 since I am on track with my project due to me being efficient and working during class.

Today I was able to complete my plan stage. I am ready to create my product. This weekend I will be creating my slide-show and finishing all of my google doc. Today I was very balanced because I had to make sure I was completing everything the teacher was asking for. On my attitudes in technology I would  score myself a 6 since I was very efficient and worked during all the class period. I am on schedule with my project and am ready to begin creating my final product.

By this week I should already have finished with the planning stage of my project so that I can create my product.  I have finished with my investigation and have begun working on my design on creating my 3 designs. Today I will come during lunch to finish my designs. I will also be able to work on this project not only at school but also at home since I have a computer and inter-net available. Today I had to be reflective since I had to re-do something i had already done on my google docs but had not done it right.  On my attitudes in technology I would rate myself a 6 since I was efficient and was able to fix and continue working on my google docs.

Today I was able to add the Areas of Interaction to my introduction, which ware community and service. I added a table to show the comparison of the 2 programs I chose. In my attitudes in technology I would rate myself a 6 since I was productive and maintained a positive attitude. The IB learner characteristic I resembled the most was balanced because I was able to juggle all my work.

Today I accomplished creating a "Gnatt chart" using Microsoft Excel. By next class I will work on finishing my planning stage so that I can begin creating my product.  I was balanced because I had to pay attention.  On my attitudes in technology I would rate myself a 5 because I was a little confused at the beginning, but I was able to keep up with everything and maintain a positive attitude.

Survey

Today I was able to create a survey using Survey Monkey. The survey I created will allow me to get feedback form my audience and see how effective my final product was. I was very productive today and was able to add a screen shot and explanation, of my survey, into my google doc. On my attitudes of technology I would rate myself a 6 since I had a positive attitude in everything i was doing, so I could keep up with everything.

Today I completed my design brief and design specification. I used the example we have in class and the checklist to guide myself. I feel that I could elaborate more more on my design specification, so I am planning to work on it at home. I will also email Ms. Hinojosa to let her know why I did not finish the specification and that I will work on it at home. Today my attitudes in technology were at a 5 on a scale from 1-6 since I was positive and productive while working.

Today I completed my introduction by following the "Google Doc=Design Folder Checklist". I answered all the questions except the one talking about the "A.O.I.'S" since I did not understand what this was. I also evaluated and compared two different tools I could use to create my slide-show. Today I was mostly reflective because I had to go back and evaluate the tools I was planning to use to create my final product. I would like to improve on my attitudes for technology by next class, and I would like to make sure I evaluated my tools correctly.  On a scale of 1-6 my Attitudes in Technology would be at a 4 since I was running against time today and started feeling overwhelmed.

Today I was able to compare two different possible tools to create my project. I am going to create a slide show for my final presentation. I compared the sites Simlebox and Kizoa, but I still need to research other sites before I decide what tool I want to use to create my project. Next class I am planning to look at 3 more sites, evaluate them, and finaly compare all five tools to chose one. In my attitudes in technology I would rate  myself with a  5 because I am positively researching and looking foward to continue working on this project.

Today I completed the MYP Tech Pre-Assessment and I scored a 68 with a possible score of a 79 after the writing is checked. When I take the EOC EXAM  I want to score a 90. I will make sure I understand all the steps of the Design Cycle and that I can easily recognize each step in a given situation. By taking action to actually improve my score I will be representing the IB Learner Profile "Reflective" because I will move on from my mistakes of the first test to make my grade on the real EOC EXAm improve.

Today I learned the parts of the Design Cycle and the Design Cycle Rubric by using I Poop Cookies Everyday and I Don't Poop Cookies Everyday Anyways. I learned what each part of the Design Cycle consists off. Due to what I learned, I was able to earn an A on my quiz after studying the Design Cycle. I hope that in the next class I can get started on my IB Profile project on the Investigate stage and my introduction.

Today, I learned how to use google documents. I learned how to share documents with other users. I learned how to insert new pages in a google document. I learned how to correctly cite web pages by making sure the sentences after the first one are indented.
